NHS Park Run and Race for life

What better way to end a week of supporting our amazing NHS and Cancer Research than participating in running events for both causes!

Saturday was Park Run especially marshalled by NHS staff  with many others running in fancy dress to celebrate 70 Years of the great institution.

There were some fantastic costumes including my wifey and her colleague  unfortunately I didn’t get many photos. I did however get to chat briefly with CDDFT Chief Executive Sue Jaques about the campaign. Lovely to meet you Sue promise to keep you updated!

Today was Race for life accompanied by the wifey we completed 5k at Darlington. Both gaining distance PB’s. It was a course PB for me as the previous race for life I did at Darlington I literally waddled like Pingu all the way round being 8 month pregnant with the Man child. How I managed it I am still unsure but my 26 mins 3 secs was definitely at less than half the time!! I love race for life and seeing the sea of Pink. They are such emotional and inspirational days especially seeing the determination of some participants to say do one cancer its unreal.

Thanks for the support Wifey!  Fab end of the week for to great organisation x
